Iconic Images is the custodian of the fine art archives of a number of pioneering photographers, notably Terry O’Neill who made his name capturing London’s Swinging 60s on film. The archives contain historic and iconic images from the frontline of fashion, rock, film, politics and royalty by photographers who were trailblazers in their field. Iconic Images boasts the world’s largest photographic collections of David Bowie, Bridget Bardot, Faye Dunaway (Terry’s former wife), Elton John, Jimi Hendrix, Audrey Hepburn, Frank Sinatra, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and more.
VGC strategically invested to help Iconic Images get the archive organised, digitised and optimised for licensing agreements (with brands like Leica cameras) in order to set the business up for acquisition. The business was sold to ABG (Authentic Brands Group) in 2021.
